Three short films serve as lawn bowling lessons - featuring Marion, Vernon, and Arden.  Each one shares a unique perspective on the unpredictable throws and curves of life.

A collaboration with Nels Bangerter, who superbly photographed and edited the film, this was strictly a film school project, but it’s one of my favorite directing experiences.  The people we met were incredibly warm and enthusiastic in their acceptance of us and our being around.  It was the last film I did entirely on 16mm (even editing on a flatbed!), and I think that’s partly why it will always have a special place in my heart.

How to Lawn Bowl was a finalist for the Slamdance Global Anarchy competition in 2005.
